About Vinyl Trackr

Vinyl Trackr is result of about a year’s brain storming on something I love – Music!

One of my favorite experiences growing up was pulling a new album off the shelf, placing it on my turntable, and reading the liner notes and lyrics while listening to it.

After converting my music to digital, I lost that experience. I still have all my albums, so, I figured, why not catalog them and relive that experience.

I then learned from friends and family, that why don’t I just setup an account on Discogs, or buy one of the app subscriptions which will let me capture the data.

I already pay way too much in monthly and yearly subscriptions, and uploading my album information to Discogs, means someone else knows what I like and probably will monetize my data.

I don’t want to be the product… And just like some of those old LPs that were never re-released on streaming, I want to own my own data.

This is how Vinyl Trackr was born.
