Greeting Keeper allows you to track cards you’ve given for any type of event. I originally wrote this app when I discovered I had sent the same card to my parents three years in a row! Yikes.
Basic Features
The basic structure is as follows:
- Create any occasion you’d like to send cards for. Occasions can be as simple as “Birthday” or “Anniversary”.
- Design your own gallery of cards for that event. Think of this as building your own card stand, like at a greeting card story. Each card can have a name, a manufacturer, and a website link (in the case of an online card). You also must include an image of what the card looks like. You can either take a picture with your phone’s camera, or grab an existing picture from you camera role.
- Build your list of recipients, people you send the card to. Each recipient can have one or more cards sent to them over time. You are able to create your own recipients or add one from your address book.
- Finally, you add cards to the recipient. This will, overtime, give you a single view of all the cards you’ve sent to that person.
You can also generate a simple PDF of all the cards you have ever sent for a specific “occasion”, all the cards in the gallery and how many of each card you’ve sent (a great feature for re-ordering your favorite holiday card), and all the cards you’ve ever sent to a specific person.
While I’ve been working on this app for years, I finally made it public in 2024.
I have created the following walk thru and the new user experience will be available soon.
You can find the app for iOS, macOS, and visionOS on the Apple App Store.
