{"id":724,"date":"2013-07-28T19:03:06","date_gmt":"2013-07-28T19:03:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/triangleappshow.com\/?p=724"},"modified":"2022-12-15T06:46:44","modified_gmt":"2022-12-15T11:46:44","slug":"security-and-will-monday-see-another-ios-beta","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/michaelrowe01.com\/index.php\/blog\/security-and-will-monday-see-another-ios-beta\/","title":{"rendered":"Security and will Monday see another iOS Beta?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Prior to the security issues on Apple&#8217;s site over a week ago, Apple had been on a bi-weekly cadence for iOS and OS X beta releases.\u00a0 Last Monday, (July 22nd) the developer portal was down while <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.wsj.com\/digits\/2013\/07\/25\/apple-details-developer-site-rebuild\/\">Apple rebuilt the site<\/a> to address the security issues no iOS beta was reported to be released.\u00a0 With less than 24 hours to go, will they be in a position to release a beta tomorrow?\u00a0 What is the impact to the overall release schedule of iOS?\u00a0 What do you think?<\/p>\n<p>I am hoping that the major progress we&#8217;ve seen in the last week on bringing the site back online (while still not complete, many of components are up as of this posting), has allowed Apple to focus back on working on iOS and Mavericks.\u00a0 Perhaps there are some lessons in all of this for us, as developers, that security can&#8217;t be something we think about when we are done developing.\u00a0 Security is something that needs to be built into our apps from the beginning.<\/p>\n<p>One of my favorite podcasts is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.grc.com\/securitynow.htm\">Security Now!<\/a> with Steve Gibson of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.grc.com\">Gibson Research Company<\/a>.
